Paris, 2020.
We follow Le Filip, Shigo LaDurée, and Cookie Kunty, three iconic figures of the Parisian drag scene, and discover their culture, stories, and aspirations in a world affected by a health crisis.
In recent years, the Paris drag scene has grown exponentially. Against the backdrop of a France grappling with a health crisis, we follow these three artists from this resurging subculture and the challenges they face in their daily lives.
This year, Misha, also known as Shigo LaDurée, a drag queen and dancer with the famous voguing House of LaDurée, is studying for his high school diploma, preparing for two major balls, and getting ready to celebrate his 18th birthday.
Romain and his drag alter ego, Cookie Kunty, will be filming their second short film this year. Cookie is no stranger to the camera, and for good reason! Romain’s goal is to bring drag into the mainstream to reach as many people as possible. After all, drag is a political statement.
As for Le Filip, a comedy queen, he is venturing into writing and producing his first one-drag show at the age of 25. From creating his costume to the curtain’s rise, he is determined to take on this monumental challenge by himself!
