Saturday Night is an intimate, sensual, and reflective dive into contemporary youth. For one night, we follow four groups of young people from different sociological backgrounds across the country.
Despite their differences, these complementary groups outline the contours of French youth. In this film, we attempt to listen to their desires and dreams, without losing the sincerity and energy of their evenings.
Village festivals, feminist collage actions, the last suburban train, Parisian nightclubs… Our youth intersect and overlap, converse and respond to each other. Each group represents a societal issue and embodies a contemporary challenge.
This film is also a collective psychoanalysis, where our young people talk about their doubts, friendships, loves, studies, commitments, and work.
